10 Effective Tips to Reduce Face Fat

Weight gain is the source of facial fat. The lips, jowls, under the chin, and neck are the areas of the body where fat is most noticeable. This is caused by a healthy diet, a lack of physical activity, ageing, or genetic conditions. Those with rounded, less-pronounced facial features appear to have more facial fat.

The second most stubborn form of fat in the body is face fat. Even though you lose weight overall, facial fat is still visible in the majority of cases. Fat on the face is more common in overweight or obese people than in healthy weight people. Thankfully, there are a variety of methods for increasing fat burning and slimming down your face.

Here are a few useful strategies for reducing facial fat that you must surely try if you wish to reduce your face fat.

1. Massage with Coconut Oil

Coconut oil, which is high in vitamin E, is an excellent skin moisturizer. Not only that, but it keeps the skin hydrated, which is essential for skin elasticity and flexibility. Instead of using face cream, apply this oil to your neck and face and leave it on for an hour. Then, using warm water, gently clean your face to remove any excess coconut oil, and leave the rest on your face for the rest of the day. People do not prefer and suggest keeping it overnight as it becomes the cause of your oily skin causing some serious acne breakouts.

2. Try Facial Exercises

All you would have to do is close your mouth and inhale some air to puff up your cheeks. Keep it in that position for 10 seconds, moving it from right to left eye. If you want to improve your facial muscles, this is the workout for you. It is the most effective exercise for reducing fat in the upper and middle portions of the face. Then again, it relieves all stress in the facial muscles and increases blood circulation in the area.

3. Jalandhara Bandha (Chin lock)

The above exercise will help you form your face and tone the muscles in your jawline.

How to do it: Relax sitting in the Lotus position and take a deep breath. Lift your shoulders and lean over with your palms on your knees. Place your chin among your collar bones and press it tightly against your stomach. Try to control the breath for as long as you actually can before being uneasy. Relax and then do it again.

4. Neck Roll

The most common way of losing a double chin is to roll your neck. The exercise will also tone the muscles in your chin, jawline, and spine.

How to do it: Simply sit on the ground with your head facing forward before performing. Turn your head in a circular motion while bending your head to one side in line with your chin. When doing so, keep your back straight and your shoulders down. This can be done both clockwise and counter-clockwise.

5. Jivha Bandha (Locked Tongue Pose)

Padmasana is a yoga pose where you sit in a comfortable position. Place your hands on your thighs to make them more comfortable. As if you were trying to swallow something, move the tip of your tongue towards the back of your mouth. Try opening your mouth wide until you feel a stretch in the throat and neck muscles when your tongue is at the back of your mouth. Repeat this 5 times after a minute of relaxation.

6. Drink more water

Drinking plenty of water is good for your overall health, but it is necessary if you want to lose facial fat. Water has been shown in studies to keep you feeling full and help you lose weight. In reality, one small study discovered that drinking water before a meal reduced the number of calories consumed mostly during the meal. According to some studies, drinking water will temporarily boost your metabolism. Raising the number of calories you burn during the day will help you lose weight.

7. Consume alcohol in moderation

Even though the patent glass of wine along with dinner is alright, excessive alcohol consumption is one of the main reasons for facial fat accumulation and bloating. Alcohol is high in calories and low in nutrients, and it could increase the risk of gaining weight. The easiest way to avoid alcohol-induced bloating and weight gain is to limit your alcohol intake. Moderate alcohol consumption is described as up to two drinks a day for men and up to one drink a day for women, as per the current US Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

8. Hot Towel Treatment

The steam lowers the fat in your skin, causing you to sweat. It also helps to tighten the skin. In a tub, boil some water, let it cool slightly so we would not burn our faces, then soak a cloth in it and squeeze out all the excess water. Now hold the towel against your face for 5 minutes. Repeat this procedure five times more. It will reduce the size of your cheeks and open your skin’s pores, requiring urgent moisturisation and thus no exposure to dust for at least an hour. The best time to do this is before going to sleep or taking a nap in the afternoon.

9. Reduce the intake of processed carbohydrates

Weight gain and fat storage are typical side effects of refined carbs like cookies, crackers, and pasta.

These carbohydrates have been extensively refined, removing all of their useful nutrients and fibre and leaving only sugar and calories behind. They are quickly digested as they are low in fibre, resulting in blood sugar spikes and falls, as well as a higher risk of overeating. Research of 277 women found that eating more processed carbohydrates was linked to a higher risk of obesity and more belly fat. While no studies have looked specifically at the impact of refined carbohydrates on facial fat, switching to whole grains could help with overall weight loss, which may also help with facial fat loss.

10. Use a Wrap in Mineral Oil

If you would like a chiselled jawline and moisturized skin, you will need a wrap like this. Baby oil and Vaseline both contain mineral oil. Apply some of the oil to the chin with cotton and then tie a cling wrap across your face to reduce the fat. Allow forty-five minutes to pass before rinsing with water.

Not a lot of people are aware of such oils, however, they are quite beneficial to reduce your face fat without any side effects.
