Scott Thomas: Who Is This Love Island Reality Star?
Who Is Scott Thomas, How Old Is He?
Scott Thomas is a 31-year-old ITV2 reality television personality from Manchester who finished in third place on the second series of Love Island. Before shooting to fame on Love Island in 2016, Scott was a club promoter for seven years.
He became a social media phenomenon with more than 320,000 Twitter followers.
He was involved with both Zara Holland and Kady McDermott while on Love Island. His relationship with Kady continued after the show ended, but they eventually split up. His twin brother is soap actor Adam Thomas. He also has an older brother named Ryan Thomas.
Away from television, he’s also worked as a director for the PR agency The Social. The star is now the owner of his own Public Relations Agency, The Social PR, which he launched four years ago just before appearing on Love Island.
He has since seen his business go from strength to strength, with current clients including PrettyLittleThing, hotel group Edwardian Hotels as well as a string of restaurants and bars.
As well as this, it seems as though Scott has created his own rival dating show called Parties in Paradise. While not much is known about it, the new series is currently looking for applicants.
When was Scott Thomas on Love Island?
Scott Thomas appeared in the second series of ITV2’s Love Island in 2016.
The star Manchester lasted a whopping 45 days, getting all the way to the final and earning third place with his then-girlfriend Kady McDermott.
Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey came in first place, while Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland also made the finale.
And though he didn’t win Love Island, Scott has gone on to have a very successful career in showbiz.
Who is Scott Thomas dating?
Scott was in a romantic relationship with Kady McDermott during his appearance on Love Island.
The pair became official during their time on the show, and continued to date on the outside world for just over a year.
It’s believed the couple split back in August 2017 after Kady shared a cryptic message on Twitter and they unfollowed each other.
Alongside a book emoji, Kady tweeted: “New chapter.”
It came after Kady confessed there was a lot of pressure on her and Scott’s relationship, due to the fact they met on Love Island, as well as the fact their former co-stars Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen were engaged.
Before dating Kady, Scott admitted he had dalliances with Hollyoaks cast mates, but wouldn’t name names.
Last year, Scott also sparked speculation he was dating Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison after they were spotted getting very cosy on Celebrity Coach Trip.
However, it turns out they are just good friends, with Vicky currently in a relationship with Ercan Ramadan.
And it looks like Scott is keen to get back in the dating game, after a source told the Mirror last year: “Scott is finally keen to date again. He hasn’t dated anyone since his split with Kady and is now keen to find love. “He’s wanting to take part in Celebs Go Dating and is very keen and serious about finding real love.”
Relationship with Alcohol:
Love Island’s Scott Thomas has opened up about his battle with alcohol as he revealed he’s now in the best shape of his life.
Scott has been applauded for speaking out in a candid Instagram post as he celebrates six months sober:
The Manchester PR director, who appeared in the second series of Love Island in 2016, says that although he didn’t drink often, when he did he would ‘take it too far and become a different person.’
Scott, 31, the younger brother of former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas and the twin brother of former Emmerdale favourite Adam Thomas, says he battled with this for years and saw a therapist.
At the end of last year Scott, the director of PR agency The Social PR, decided to go teetotal for 12 months after realising it had affected his work.
He booked a holiday to Abu Dhabi on his own and ‘had a serious word’ with himself:
Sharing a photo of his buff physique and video of himself working out with weights on Instagram he wrote: “Special moment for me today!
“Celebrating six months no alcohol and finally reaching my goal of the best shape of my life.”
Thanking his personal trainer Antony Teasdale he explained: “This may come as a surprise to a lot of you as it’s not something I’ve often talked about.
“For years I’ve always battled with my relationship to alcohol.
“I made a living out of being a party boy and although I didn’t drink often when I did I would always take it too far and become a different person.
“I’ve battled with this for years and although I’ve not had a bad life at all and always done ‘well’ so to speak there was always an underlying feeling of not reaching my potential.
“I saw a therapist for years over this called Gareth at @menshouldtalk who was a massive
help in giving me perspective and I still check in with him once a month even now.”
Speaking of his decision to cut out alcohol he told his 900,000 followers: “At the back end of last year I made a decision to go T total in 2020 for 12 months. A decision that had to be made because for the first time my behaviour had affected my business.
He recalled about the pivotal moment in his life when he took control:
“I booked a holiday to Abu Dhabi on my own and had a serious word with myself over there.
“Picked up a pebble and stood in the sea and swore to myself I’d do 12 months.
“It was a scary thought but I was listening to Denzel Washington on repeat ‘to achieve something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done!’
